Here are some of the TOP items we keep in the house to create success and easy to prep smoothie items:

Freezer Items:

Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, Strawberries

Dark Cherries


Chia seeds

Ground Flax seeds

Spinach or any greens you haven’t had a chance to eat – store in a freezer bag or Tupperware

Any ripe bananas -peel first and store in freezer bag


Fridge Items:

Spinach (freeze if need be) or Kale -baby kale is easier to use for smoothies

Grated carrots for quick grab and go

Cauliflower  (you can even get it already chopped at the store, can be kept in the freezer)

Almond, soy or regular milk (choice what works for you)

Yogurt (NOT no-fat or low-fat… if they take out the fat they replace it with chemicals!)

Cranberry juice, Orange juice

Apples, Pears, limes, lemons

Cucumbers and/or beets, avocados

Fresh mint, parsley or any herb you enjoy

Pure Maple syrup (Only if needed ie: kids like it in their smoothies when they are starting out – don’t go overboard!)


Cupboard items:

Fresh ginger root (keep in a dark cool place) or turmeric, cinnamon, nutmeg or any spice you like

Coconut oil or avocado oil (this is an optional protein source)

Organic/ local honey

Therapeutic grade essential oils

Nutrilite plant based protein powder OR one that you have that has NO sugars added and you can recognize the ingredients
